I have been a Nurse for 39 years working for the past 21 years in Mental Health Court Liaison. I have been a nurse-activist throughout my nursing career.

I have been involved in the formation of two branches at different workplaces and have participated in many union activities including the current RATIOS campaign.

More must be done to attract and retain Nurses and Midwives.  We need shift by shift mandated nurse to patient ratios in our awards and workplace agreements in all public, private and aged care workplaces.

As the current Nursing and Midwife workforce ages it is very important that we are able to attract and retain nurses and midwives into the profession and ratios will be a central part of this strategy. Holding governments to account for decisions made that affect our working environment is very important.

I am very proud to be part of the Candish / Whaites Council.

For unity, power, progress vote for
the Candish/Whaites team!
