I have worked as an Emergency Department Nurse in various health services since qualifying 20 years ago. I have also been a member of different Unions and appreciate the importance that Unions play in the improvement of health services and protection of staff. Since taking the President's role at Yass Hospital, the branch has been very active and had various wins for the professional as well as physical safety of staff whilst agitating at state level for investment in our health system.

During my time working within NSW Health, I have witnessed the continued decimation and underinvestment in our health services as well as our staff and I know that if we continue on this downward trajectory, nurses and the NSW public will be left with nothing.

If elected to the NSWNMA council I will strive to provide strong and courageous leadership with the desire to be part of a strategic, intelligent, and progressive council to fight hard for the membership and demand what we deserve as a profession.
