Kristy Wilson
Perioperative NUM
Griffith Base Hospital
ANMF NSW Branch Councillor since 2021
NSWNMA Councillor since 2021
NSWNMA Branch Delegate and Secretary
Born and raised in regional NSW I’ve been employed in the Public Health System since I was 17. I’m a proud perioperative nurse with 22 years’ experience. My career has spanned many departments working as a Hospital Assistant trainee, Enrolled Nurse, Clinical Nurse Educator and more recently Nurse Unit Manager. This has provided me a thorough grasp of the health system and the challenges we face.
I personally understand the complexities that living in regional/rural areas bring and am absolutely committed to improving outcomes for patients and staff in these communities. Healthcare should not be dependent on postcode!
An impassioned and active member since 2001, I am currently Branch Secretary, Delegate and Reasonable Workloads chair. I have spearheaded local rallies gathering public support for improved conditions and wages for nurses & midwives. I am not afraid to speak out and speak my mind.
If elected you will continue to find me at the forefront of campaigns to improve current workloads and conditions, we deserve more than we are getting.
